The Mishael Bia-Garyar Jewell Bates Vocational Training Program is a transformative initiative designed to equip Liberian youth with technical and practical automotive skills that lead to sustainable employment opportunities.

This program focuses on addressing the skills gap in the automotive industry while fostering economic growth and self-reliance among participants. 

Program Structure

The program will be delivered in collaboration with leading vocational and technical schools across Liberia, ensuring access to high-quality training resources and expertise. It combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning in modern automotive workshops, enabling students to gain practical experience in areas such as vehicle diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and emerging automotive technologies. 

Upon successful completion, participants will earn two certifications:  

  1. Partner School Certification – Acknowledging completion of coursework and training specific to the partnered school’s curriculum.
  2. Mishael Bia-Garyar Jewell Bates Certification – Highlighting advanced skills and knowledge acquired through the program, with an emphasis on professionalism and industry readiness.
  • Comprehensive Curriculum: Covering automotive fundamentals, electrical systems, engine repair, and modern diagnostic tools.
  • Industry Partnerships: Engagement with automotive companies for internships and job placement opportunities.
  • Youth Empowerment: Prioritizing underprivileged youth, creating pathways to financial independence.
  • State-of-the-Art Training: Access to tools and equipment that meet industry standards.
  • Dual Certification: Boosting employability with credentials recognized both nationally and internationally.
  • Develop a skilled workforce for Liberia’s growing automotive sector.
